Indianapolis Convention Center

The Indianapolis Convention Center and the RCA Dome provide over 540,000 square feet of exhibit space and meeting space in downtown Indianapolis. Within the facility are 48 meeting rooms, seven exhibit halls, four ballrooms and a domed stadium. The Convention Center hosts some of the nation’s largest events such as the Bands of America Grand National Championships and the Coca-Cola Circle City Classic.

The Indianapolis Convention Center is a unique building because of its architectural design. It has awesome panoramic views of the city from its floor-to-ceiling glass panels. The Center also provides security personnel, event coordinators, technicians and welcome center volunteers. Of all the meeting spaces in the Indiana Convention Center the most popular is the Sagamore ballroom. The Sagamore Ballroom is about the size of a football field and can hold up to 3,400 people and can also be separated into seven sections. The space has great acoustics, a very sophisticated sound system and unbelievable audio-visual capabilities.  

Attached to the Indianapolis Convention Center is the RCA Dome. The Dome was opened in 1984. Many conventions, trade shows, consumer shows and concerts are held here. Currently, it is also the home of the Indianapolis Colts; however in the fall of 2008 the Lucas Oil Stadium will become their new home. Once the stadium is complete the Dome will be demolished and additions will be built onto the convention center. With the new additions the Center will be one of the largest convention centers in the country.
