Indiana Convention Center

The Indiana Convention Center and the RCA Dome are host to many of the nation’s largest events, including the Bands of America Grand National Championships and the Coca-Cola Circle City Classic. There is over 540,000 square feet of exhibit space and meeting space at the center. Within the enormous facility are 48 meeting rooms, seven exhibit halls, four ballrooms and a domed stadium.

The Indiana Convention Center is a distinctive building because of its architectural design. Visitors will enjoy awesome panoramic views of the city from its floor-to-ceiling glass panels. For events held here the Convention Center provides security personnel, event coordinators, technicians and welcome center volunteers. There are many lovely meeting spaces in the Indiana Convention Center but the most popular is the Sagamore Ballroom. The Sagamore Ballroom is equivalent to the size of a football field and holds a staggering 3,400 people. It can also be divided into seven smaller sections. This space not only has great acoustics, but also a very sophisticated sound system and unbelievable audio-visual capabilities.  

The RCA Dome is attached to the Indiana Convention Center. Opened in 1984, the Dome is host to many conventions, trade shows, consumer shows and concerts. Currently, it is also the home of the Indianapolis Colts football team; however in the fall of 2008 the Lucas Oil Stadium will become their new home. The Dome will be demolished once the stadium is complete. There are plans to also attach new additions to the Center, making it one of the largest convention centers in the country.
