Athletics

Butler University is a part of the Atlantic 10 Conference and offers a variety of sports to its students. The Bulldogs recently gained notoriety for the men’s basketball team making it into the Final Four in 2010 and 2011. Butler Sports teams also participate in soccer, volleyball, football, baseball, swimming, golf, softball, cross country and more. Hinkle Fieldhouse, the basketball arena constructed in 1928, is an Indianapolis landmark. The Fieldhouse at Butler University has not only hosted six U.S. Presidents but was a venue for the 10th Pan American games and was featured in the movie “Hoosiers”.
